Football Stadium

In advancing the Emirates’ vision to significantly excel in the world of sports, a new football stadium is being proposed altogether with a modern multipurpose sports complex capable of hosting diversified sporting events. The semi open stadium proposal in design in equipped with an innovative cooling system which will enable the matches to be played even in the hot summer months. The site development is composed of major spatial components such as stadium, hotel, shopping mall, outdoor promenade and indoor amenities such as business conferences, sports museum, indoor sports, virtual gaming halls. The site open spaces are consisting of parking space, traffic circulations and landscaping.

  • 60,000 spectators seating capacity.
  • 10 Royal Suites with luxurious facilities with 30 Royal center stage seats
  • 3500 VIP seats with 125 Hospitality Rooms/VIP Suites with luxurious amenities
  • 144 Skybox with world class amenities that can accommodate 6-8 people.

The stadium’s paramount design concern is the safety and comfort of the spectators, ensuring the farthest seating areas to have a perfect view of pitch actions. The proposed stadium will adopt the best practices for green building encourage the utilizations of passive design, renewable energy and to reuse, recycle and reduce.

New innovative designs are being introduced to optimize the design components use a media façade integrated to hotels glazing panels, retractable playing field and air conditioned spectator’s bowl. Further, the stadiums will generate substantial amount of power to supply required electricity for stadium cooling, by harnessing the abundant solar energy through installation of photovoltaic cells.

In addition, the playing field is envisioned to equip with retractable filed system where the playing field can literally be moved out of the stadium and allow empty field to optimize its usage and possibly to stage other form of activities like social events, team sports, concert staging and trade fair.
